Udon is locked
Check a license lock, restore verification, or pick up a purchase that has not appeared in Udon.
A license lock replaces the dashboard with a screen such as Trial ended or License not verified. Running containers keep running. The lock prevents Udon's management actions until the license verifies.
Read the reason on the lock screen
For License not verified, restore the Mac's internet connection and click Check again. The Mac running Udon must reach the license service; internet access on the device viewing the dashboard alone is not enough.
For Trial ended or License expired, use Purchase Udon if you have not bought a license for this Mac. If you already paid, follow the purchase check below. For License revoked, contact support before buying again.
License inactive means the paid license no longer grants access. This also appears after a lifetime purchase has been fully refunded and that change has reached Udon. Use Purchase Udon to buy again, or contact support if the refund was unexpected. A pending or partial refund alone does not end lifetime access.
Re-check after a purchase
Finish checkout and return to Udon. Udon does not watch for the payment: click Check again on the lock screen, or, if the dashboard is still accessible, click the circular arrow (Re-check license now) in Settings → License or on the setup wizard's last step. Restarting Udon checks the license too. If payment completed but the license still does not appear, keep the receipt and re-check a little later before starting another purchase.
Check the Serial on the lock screen, when shown, or in Settings → License. Checkout attaches the serial of the Mac whose dashboard you used. If you manage several Macs, confirm that you opened checkout from the intended one.
If checkout never opens, allow pop-ups for Udon and try Purchase Udon again. If it reports that purchase or checkout is unavailable, keep the error for support.
On a Mac that Udon support has marked as Dev, purchases run in the sandbox; the Dev flag sets the payment environment, whichever Udon release is installed.
Check the result of verification
If Udon reports Could not reach the license service, the check failed and Udon kept its last verified license state. Restore connectivity and try again. Repeatedly clicking the button while the service is unreachable cannot activate a purchase.
If the Mac's clock changed or you restored an older copy of its state, correct the date and time in macOS, connect the Mac to the internet, and click Check again. A fresh successful check can recover verification after a clock correction. Keep the existing state folder for diagnosis.
Once verification succeeds, the lock screen disappears. In Settings → License, confirm that Plan shows Licensed after a purchase and that Last verified has updated. The licensing guide shows this card.
An installation that has never verified gets 24 hours of first-run grace. A verified trial can work offline for up to seven days, capped by its trial end date. A verified paid license keeps working offline without a time limit.
Reinstalling on the same Mac preserves its license entitlement and original trial dates. A keep-data reinstall retains the local license cache too. After removing application data, connect the Mac to the internet so Udon can restore its entitlement from the license service.
If the lock persists, email [email protected] with the Udon version, exact lock reason, failed-check message, Mac serial, and purchase receipt or order reference. Send these privately and omit payment-card details. Mention whether the Mac was offline before the lock appeared and whether Check again now reaches the license service.
