Can't sign in
Recover from a sign-in lockout, rejected authenticator codes, a lost authenticator, or a forgotten password.
Use these checks when the sign-in screen rejects your password or authentication code. Your Udon account is the username and password created in Udon. The Mac's login credentials belong to a separate account.
If another browser is still signed in as an admin, keep that session open while you recover access.
Wait for a temporary lockout to end
After five failed password or authentication-code attempts, Udon locks that username for 60 seconds. If you see Too many attempts, wait for the time in the message before trying again. A correct password cannot bypass that wait.
Check the username and account status
Enter the username with the same capitalization used when it was created. Check that your password manager selected the account for this Udon server.
An admin can open Settings → Users to check whether the account is disabled. The row's … menu offers Enable and Reset password as appropriate. A reset signs that account out everywhere and unpairs its phones.
Check the authenticator and clocks
For That code is incorrect. Try again., select this Udon account in your authenticator and enter a fresh six-digit code. Check that both the authenticator device and the Mac running Udon have the correct time, preferably set automatically. Udon allows only a small difference between their clocks.
If you have lost the authenticator, enter an unused recovery code in the same field. Each recovery code works once. Udon showed the codes when you enabled two-factor authentication and cannot show them again.
Use an admin session to restore access
If you are still signed in, you can turn off two-factor authentication in Settings → My Account with your password. Otherwise, another admin can open Settings → Users, find the account, and choose Reset 2FA from its … menu. You can then sign in with your password and set up two-factor authentication again in Settings → My Account. Save the new recovery codes before closing the setup dialog.
Confirm recovery by signing in from a private browser window and opening Settings → My Account. Keep any working admin session open until this succeeds. The accounts guide shows the two-factor and user-management screens.
If the only admin is locked out and no admin session or recovery code remains, email [email protected] before changing Udon's files. Include the Udon version, the exact error, whether the password or code step fails, and whether another admin can sign in. Never send passwords, recovery codes, or authenticator setup keys.
