Terminal or Remote Desktop won't connect
Recover terminal connections and check Screen Sharing and macOS credentials for Remote Desktop.
Sign in to Udon with an admin account before opening the host Terminal or Remote Desktop. If the dashboard is unreachable, start with The dashboard will not open.
Distinguish reconnecting from an ended session
“Reconnecting…” means Udon is trying to reattach to the existing shell. Restore your network connection and keep the tab visible. A live session keeps running when you leave the page, reload, or close the browser tab; recent output reappears when it reconnects.
“[session ended]” means that pane cannot continue. A shell can exit, someone can close its session, or Udon can remove the oldest session after the 32-session limit is reached. Restarting the daemon ends all terminal sessions.
Open a new session when the old one ended
Click New session. Check the result of interrupted work before rerunning its command.
If new sessions also fail, try the dashboard directly from the Mac or local network. Terminal uses a persistent WebSocket connection; a proxy can serve dashboard pages while blocking that connection. Record whether direct access works. See Terminal sessions for the session controls.
Run pwd in the new session to confirm the shell answers. A new shell starts in your home
folder, or in the folder you chose with Open Terminal Here.
If it still fails, email [email protected] with Udon, macOS, and browser versions, the exact error, whether local access works, and whether the daemon recently restarted. For Remote Desktop, include the Screen Sharing status. Exclude account passwords.
